HUAWEI NOVA 5T BATTERY LIFE
Tired of break in important activities while using your phone due to poor battery. Guess what?? Huawei puts almost every phone to shame when it comes to battery lasting long on just a single charge.
All Huawei phone on the market are known to be the top most brands amongst all the android phones. However Huawei’s new model Nova 5T on the market is more than a smartphone thanks to its unique features such as the quad cameras, the sound quality, OLED screen, expandable storage and many others. The Huawei Nova 5T was released in September, 2019. It is pretty much the same phone as the Honor 2020 and sold as the same price as the Honor 2020 under the same brand “Huawei”. However a slight difference is the Huawei and the distinct nova logo on the back of the phone. The Huawei Nova 5T comes in three colors that is; midsummer purple, crush blue, and black.

Nova 5T comes in three colors; midsummer purple, crush blue, and black.

Given the amount of features this model offers, one exciting unique feature about the Huawei Nova 5T is the battery life; the Huawei Nova 5T comes with a 3,750mAH battery with 22.5W Fast Charging (Huawei Supercharge). In our daily life where people communicate with their loved ones, browse on the internet, play games, listen to music, and perform many other activities with a smartphone, one will need a phone with a strong battery which will help survive the day. Huawei Nova 5T is the solution to this problem for users, especially heavy users. Nova 5T battery life can make users perform all these activities in 24hours without going off and at the end of the day, users will still have a surplus of 18-22% left in their tank. Thankfully getting the Nova 5T’s 3,750maH battery fully charged is through the 22.5W super charger the phone comes with.

Nova 5T has 3750mAh battery and a charges faster ( super charge).

The battery was tested where a Full HD video was played on the phone was which was fully charged (100%) with it brightness too activated to the maximum, surprisingly the battery tank lost just 14% out of the 100%. For moderate users the battery life can last for almost two days.
Huawei Nova 5T battery capacity outweighs other brands like the Tecno Camon 11S and Vivo V15 Pro. The Tecno Camon 11S comes with 3500 mAh; this means that the Tecno Camon 11S has a smaller physical capability of  battery to store charge in it as compared to the Huawei Nova 5T . Therefore the Huawei Nova 5T gives users the advantage of using their phones for a whole lot of activities without the phone going off but with Tecno Camon 11S the battery will not last long.

THE JOURNEY OF SMARTPHONES AND THE TRENDY INFINIX HOT 9

By: Vincent Amedzake, GIJ

Fifteen years before the famous first iPhone was developed by Apple, IBM invented in 1992, the first smartphone and released it for purchase in 1994.
This smartphone was called the Simon Personal Communicator (SPC).  It was the first phone to combine the functions of a cell phone, i.e. you could make calls, and a PDA, which back then was a handheld device you could use for emails and send faxes.

Simon Personal Communicator; first smartphone
While not very compact and sleek, the device still featured several elements that became staples to every smartphone that followed. Released in June, 2007 and announced by Steve Jobs, iPhone revolutionized the smartphone market.   It featured quad-band GSM cellular connectivity with GPRS and EDGE support for data transfer.

But not without competition from T-Mobile released in 2008, the android version of the smartphone. The T-Mobile G1 had a sliding keyboard and had a multi-touch screen, and also had 3G, Wi-Fi and a three-megapixel camera.
T-Mobile G1 released in 2008

With the introduction of the third-generation (3G) mobile phone networks in 2001. Before 3G, most mobile phones could send and receive data at a rate sufficient for telephone calls and text messages. Using 3G, communication takes place at bit-rates high enough for sending and receiving photographs, video clips, music files, e-mails, and more. This aided the development of the iPhone which runs on  iOS and T-Mobile G1 which runs on Google’s Android OS.

25 years after the invention of the first smartphone and some 12 years after the invention of the iPhone, several brands of smartphones have flooded the mobile phone market. Phones such as Samsung, Itel, Techno, Huawei, Apple (iPhone) and Infinix is all on the market. But Infinix Mobility stands as one of the popular phone brands, especially in the African market.
The China-based company makes phones which runs on Android Operating Systems and releases great products as often as possible since its establishment in 2013. these smartphones have excellent specs with prices that will fit the budget of any consumer.

Since 2016, the brand has released different S devices such as S1, S2, S3, S4 and now S5 and S5 Pro (is the first device from the company to feature a pop-up selfie camera)
While the Hot devices (Hot 4, 4 Pro, 4 lite, Hot 5, Hot 7, Hot 7 Pro, Hot 8 and Hot 8 Lite among others and the latest being Hot9) Zero, Smart and Note devices have also been available on the market.

COMPARISON OF HUAWEI Nova 5T AND SAMSUNG GALAXY A51

By: Rita Boni

Has there ever been an invention so central to our lives, and intimate as the smartphone? Previous generations have seen communication and its devices moving from analogue to digital making the world a global village. Our ability to communicate well depends on what technological device we have in hand and how well, we are able to use it.

This brings about choices, the question of whether one would go for a Huawei Nova5T or a Samsung Galaxy A51 with different specs but falls within the same price bracket. Samsung a smartphone producer even though is coming up with a revolutionary digital experience when it comes to innovations of smartphones like the galaxy A51 an A-series, the Chinese Huawei also has some very interesting collections like the Huawei Nova 5T an A -series model as well.

Let’s take a look at the technical perspective of the phones focusing on the features of Huawei and Samsung specifically camera and battery capacity. Huawei Nova 5t has dazzling colours, it comes in crush green, crush-blue and midsummer purple which attracts people to it. It has a four rear-mounted Al- cameras of 48MP which capture stunning high definition, ultra-wide-angle, macro 2MP and bokeh photography which makes your images rich and breathtaking. This also comes with video systems for your videos anytime and any day.

There is a huge 32MP front selfie camera in the top corner which uses 4-in-1 pixel and Al- technology to balance exposure and backlights to bring out the hidden beauty in you. The battery capacity is 3750 mAh in typical value and 3650 mAh minimum value. Nova 5T has these above features as opposed to Samsung Galaxy A51 which has a glass front (Gorilla Glass3), polycarbonate back and frame, very sleek with infinity –O in aesthetic value. Its rear camera is 48MP Quad Bayer primary unit, ultra-wide-angle of 12MP and macro 5MP with o.8pixelsize. There is a front camera of 32MP which sits in the cutout in the top centre of the display with an amazing video feature to cover your special events. The battery is 4,000mAh, 15W charging.

Apart from these outlined specs, Huawei currently is unable to update their OS and as such, working on getting their own operating system whiles Samsung A51 is running on Android oneU1, the newest OS which makes phone optimization and battery consumption better. Nova5T runs on 7nanometers chipset which is lower and will need a bigger Ram to balance it as against 10 nanometers for Samsung A51 that will yield better performance of the phone and lower power consumption. Make a choice that best works for you.

BEST CAMERA PHONES: HUAWEI Nova 5T

By: Berlinda Ivy Etornam Dormeakpor

The Huawei Nova 5T is unlikely to compete for the title of the best camera phone still, it does deliver an all-screen display with a small 32MP punch-hole selfie camera, glass, and metal design and the same processor found in the flagship.
The highlight feature, however, is its quad-camera, the 5T serves up a 48MP primary camera, a 16MP ultra-wide camera and two 2MP modules, one depth sensor, and another macro snapper.

Despite its four cameras, the Huawei Nova 5T doesn't include a telephoto camera module - a notable omission which is found on most dual and triple-camera phones like the Google Pixel 4 and iPhone 11 Pro. What you do get is a 48MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture, 26mm lens, and a 1/2in sensor, with 0.8µm pixels.

MODES

The Nova 5T features all the standard Huawei shooting modes. Automatic mode is loaded up with an 'AI' feature that recognizes objects and scenes, Portrait mode blurs backdrops, and flatters subjects. In contrast, Night mode delivers a well-exposed handheld shot with an artificial shutter speed of over five seconds.

The Nova 5T also carries forward the extended shooting modes featured in more premium Huawei devices, including Light Painting, Pro Mode, Aperture, and Document scanning, to name a few; these are all found in the 'More' tab.
Additionally, the Super Macro mode engages the phone's 2MP fixed-focus macro camera for high-impact close-up shots when the light is right.

Photos taken on the Huawei Nova 5T's camera is captured at 12MP by default, despite the fact the camera phone features a 48MP primary camera. Generally speaking, while phones with the same sensor tend to perform similarly, capturing impressive shots with plenty of detail but nuances lost in the dark shadows and bright highlights, the Nova 5T's images impress on the whole.

If you fire up pro mode, you're in for a treat. For starters, the ISO can be bumped all the way up to 102,400 - mightily impressive for a smartphone, especially considering the fact results don't look bad at all. As for the maximum shutter time, it's 30 seconds, so if you find a steady surface, you can capture impressive night sky shots.

Noise

Noise handling in automatic mode is reasonably good, but Huawei's Night mode is one of the best around at this kind of price, and on the 5T, it performs very well. This compensates for a lack of optical image stabilization nicely.
In good light, the AI mode can boost dynamic range too, which helps shots along, and there's also an HDR mode if the AI scene detection doesn't cut it.

Video

Video is shot at up to 4K, 30fps, and is stabilized electronically at up to full resolution - something you don't always see in midrangers. As for quality, it's impressive, provided the light is right, though, as with most smartphones, grain creeps into footage quickly when the lights go down.
The Nova 5T can also capture 960fps slow-motion video and its 32MP front camera, very good looking selfies.
At its current price,Huawei Nova 5T is seen as the best in its league.

HUAWEI Nova 5T CONNECTIVITY

By: Vanessa Danso

When it comes to connectivity, the Huawei Nova 5T has features like dual Sim support,  LTE/GSM/HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and Hotspot. The dual SIM support allows users to have and actively use two numbers, and have their contacts stored on both sims without having to carry two separate phones around.
The left side of the phone is the tray for dual nano-sized SIM cards.

Nova 5T also comes with Long-Term Evolution (LTE) which is a standard for wireless broadband communication for mobile devices and data terminals. It also increases the capacity and speed, using a different radio interface together with core network improvement.
Global System for Mobile (GSM) uses TDMA to split a frequency into time slots. GSM is an international standard. It is a type of cellular that is available in Europe and most parts of the world.

High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA) is a widely used and popular mobile broadband technology with the GSM family of technologies.
Bluetooth 5.0 quadruples the wireless range, double speed and increases the bandwidth to allow for broadcasting to two wireless devices at once. All audio devices communicate over Bluetooth low energy which means low power usage and longer battery life.

Nova 5T also has Hotspot which allows for wireless connectivity of the internet between devices.
